About the Artists:

With a long and varied background in the fine arts, Larissa started face painting in college with the Starlight Foundation. With a bachelors and masters in the arts, Cara is the temporary tattoo maven and more recently, a face painter.

About Safety:

The artists use only FDA-compliant, safe supplies for face painting, temporary tattoos, and natural brown henna. We never use acrylic or tempera paints, which can cause allergic reactions, including rashes, itching, pain, and blisters. Craft paints and glitters, which can damage the eyes as well, are not made for use on skin, even when labeled “non-toxic.” We never use what is called “black henna.” This is henna mixed with PPD, or hair dye at 10x the recommended concentration, which can cause severe reactions, including welts, blisters, sores, allergies to medications, and scarring.
